The Best Sports Bars in Phu Quoc

We have one great all-round sports bar in Phu Quoc. A brilliant little local sports bar where you can play sports too, and a live music bar that has sport on in the background. Here’s more info on them all for you.

The Rabbit Hole Irish Bar – The biggest sports bar in Phu Quoc

We’ll start the list with the biggest and most popular sports bar in Phu Quoc. The Rabbit Hole has everything you could want from a sports pub: Food, beer and wall-to-wall live sport all day long.

When it comes to how seriously they take sport, I’ll let them tell you in their own words…

We offer a unique live sporting experience with a selection of large-screen TVs. There are screens in every line of vision, even in our beer gardens.

We can show nearly any international sport, including FA Cup, EPL, Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A, Eredivisie, Champions League, Golf, UFC, GAA, F1, Tennis, Moto GP, AFL, NRL, Rugby, Cricket, Boxing & more.”

If you’re looking for the best sports bar in Phu Quoc to watch the Rugby Six Nations, this is my recommendation.

It’s the best sports bar in Phu Quoc for Aussie sports

So, that’s the sport covered. Their food menu is about as comprehensive as their sports coverage. I had some delicious stir-fried noodles, but if you fancy a traditional shepherd’s pie or some fish & chips, my friends highly recommend them too.

They have some great beers on tap too. San Miguel’s always my go-to in Vietnam, but they have some fancier options if you want. Here’s what they had, and the prices back in January:

  • Huda Draught 4.7% – 50k Glass / 75k Pint / 395k Tower
  • San Miguel – 50k Glass / 75k Pint
  • Sapporo – 60k Glass / 90k Pint / 445k Tower
  • Magners Original 4.5% – 70k Glass / 130k Pint

There was a good selection of craft beers too, but they’re not my thing so that’s all I can tell you.

The cherry on top is that this sports bar in Phu Quoc is open from morning til night, so you can watch a match with breakfast, and a pint if you so choose.

Opening times: 10:00 – 02:00

Address:118/2/1 Đường Trần Hưng Đạo, Khu Phố 7, Phú Quốc, Vietnam

Passion Pub & Sports Bar – You can watch and play sport here

Next up we have an amazing little sports bar in the heart of Phu Quoc. From the outside, it looks like a little log cabin, but head in and you’ll find 3 screens, a pool table, a darts board and a Fussball table.

Live sport is shown all day long, and if they’re not showing what you’d like to watch, don’t be shy, just ask and unless they’ve already had three separate quests, they’ll put it on one of the screens for you.

Nice cheap beer at this sports bar

In addition to the screens, this sports bar also plays some great music, if you’re a fan of rock and indie that is, but don’t worry, if there’s a big game on you’ll have the commentary instead of the music.

One of my favourite things about Passion Sports Bar is the food, specifically the banh mi. Is there anything better than the traditional Vietnamese sandwich to accompany a pint of San Miguel? If you don’t agree, there’s a great menu consisting of both Western and local food fo you to find something else to satisfy your hunger.

Opening times: 11:00 – 02:00

Address:Cửa Lấp, Phú Quốc, Kien Giang 920000, Vietnam

The Cheeky Traveller English Pub – Live music every night

Last on my list of the best sports bars in Phu Quoc is The Cheeky Traveller English Pub. It’s last on the list because although some TVs show live sports, it’s much more of a live music bar than a sports bar.

They have live music on every night of the week, and it does take precedence over the sport. They don’t turn the sport off, but don’t expect any commentary, and it can get pretty lively when the bands are on meaning you might not get the best view of a TV.

It’s a great place if you need to compromise with your travelling companions who aren’t sports fans. Sell it to them as a live music bar and play dumb that you had no idea that it doubles up as a sports bar. What a coincidence.

Opening times: 17:00 – 02:00

Address: Hẻm 118 Đường Trần Hưng Đạo, Street, Phú Quốc, Kiên Giang 922200, Vietnam

So there you have them, the three best sports bars in Phu Quoc. Cheers!

About the author – The Sketchy Traveller

I’m not really a stickman, but it seems that I like portraying myself as one.

I’m an English guy who’s been travelling since 2017. I was never good at taking photos, sketching just seems to work better for me, and in my opinion, why do you want to see other people’s 4K videos and pictures of the world? Surely it’s better to see it for yourself. You can get in touch through the contact page or Instagram.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Happy travelling.
