A Quick Guide to Da Nang’s Best Sports Bars

For those of you who haven’t got it in you to read my whole post about where to watch the big match, here are my two best sports bars in Da Nang…

Bamboo 2 Bar is the best sports bar near the Dragon Bridge. It overlooks the river, has pool tables, a happy hour, loads of food options, and most importantly shows all kinds of sport on many TVs.

Shamrock Sports Bar is a great little sports pub by the beach. It’s an Irish/British pub with great draft beer options and plenty of TVs to show different sports at the same time.

The Best Sports Bars in Da Nang in 2024

Let’s get into more detail about the four best sports pubs in Da Nang. I’m sure that at least one of them will give you what you’re looking for.

Shamrock Sports Bar – My No1 for Watching Live Sport in Da Nang

We’ll start with my personal favourite. Shamrock Sports Bar has nearly everything I look for in a sports bar. It shows different sports at the same time. Football takes priority over everything else. There’s a great draft beer selection, including the delicious but dangerously strong Red Horse. And you can play some sport too as there’s a dart board and pool table inside. 

The only downside is that it’s a bit small inside meaning that while they do show different sports simultaneously, you can only listen to one commentary. Which is pretty normal, but a perfect sports bar has different areas so you can watch and listen to what you want. It would also have draft Guinness, you can only get it in a can here.

If you’re feeling homesick the food on offer should cure you. The three options when I was there were chicken curry, shepherd’s pie and Irish stew.

Another big plus to Shamrock Sports Bar in Da Nang is that it doesn’t close. It’s open 24/7. This means it doesn’t matter what time kick-off is, they’ll be showing it, which is great for Champions League matches.

Shamrock Sports Bar is not to be confused with The Shamrock Irish Pub Da Nang, which is around the corner and does have a projector to show sport, but it’s more of a bar than a restaurant. You can get a real pint of Guinness here though.

Bamboo 2 Bar – Best for Aussie Sports

Next up we have the best all-round sports bar in Da Nang. What I mean by that is Bamboo 2 Bar has it all. It overlooks the river, has pool tables, a happy hour, loads of food options, and most importantly shows all kinds of sport on many TVs.

It’s an Australian-themed bar so is unsurprisingly the best place to watch AFL and NRL in Da Nang. All other popular sports are shown here too, including EPL, cricket, rugby union and golf, but the Aussies rule supreme. If they’re not showing what you want to watch just ask one of the staff and they’ll do their best for you.

There’s a pool table upstairs which seems to constantly have a a game of winner stays on running. Happy hour is from 14:00 – 17:00 every day and is ‘buy 2 get 3rd free’ on all drinks.

If you’re feeling peckish there’s a huge food menu with pizza, western and local food options. Like I said, it’s got everything you could need from a sports bar,

Scallywags Bar and Grill – A Modern Option

Third on my list of the best sports bars in Da Nang is Scallywags Bar and Grill. It’s another great place to watch live sport. They have Sky Sports so if you’re missing the sound of Neville and Carragher in your ears this is where to get your fix.

There are three TVs and a projector, which is plenty to make sure that you get a good view of the match from any seat. They take the sport seriously here, the Sunday I was there was heaven for sports fans. Cricket, Six Nations, Premier League and the League Cup were all on. 

There was no need for me to move all day long, especially with the addition of an Asian Fusion and Tex-Mex food menu. The nachos and loaded fries were top-notch. They’ve just started opening from 08:00 and offer breakfast now too. I’ll be back to check that out soon!

Nos’7 Sports Pub – The Best Korean Sports Bar in Danang

Last up on my list of the best sports bars in Da Nang is the award-winning Nos’7.  Where along with a few TV screens showing live sport, you’ll find a wall of football memorabilia, table football and electronic darts.

The difference between this place compared to the others is that it’s a Korean sports bar. The only one of its kind in Da Nang. 

It’s not that it only allows Koreans though, all are welcome, but you’ll have to listen to Korean commentary if you do choose to watch a match here.

English Premier League football is the only thing they care about here. Especially Tottenham Hotspur. I’m guessing there’s a Son Heung-min link somewhere. 

There’s both Western and Korean food available all evening and Budweiser on tap.
